Nei giorni 19 e 20 maggio 2022 si terrà a Napoli, a Palazzo Du Mesnil, Rettorato dell’Università di Napoli “L’Orientale”, la conferenza finale del Jean Monnet Network MAPS – Migration and Asylum Policies Systems, evento conclusivo del progetto a cui parteciperanno alcuni tra i maggiori esperti mondiali della materia. Si farà un bilancio di questi anni di lavoro con uno sguardo verso il futuro. Proprio per questo l’evento è intitolato “Migration and Asylum Policies Systems: The Way Forward”.
Il Network, finanziato dai fondi europei dell’azione Jean Monnet, è nato nel luglio 2018 ed è costituito da 10 università europee (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; University of A Coruña; University Jean Moulin Lyon 3; University of Malta; Universität Innsbruck; Queen Mary University London; University Goce Delčev – Štip; University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST); Stiftung Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt Oder). Capofila e promotore del progetto è l’Università di Napoli “L’Orientale”, coordinatore il Prof. Giuseppe Cataldi.
Obiettivo principale di questa rete internazionale è stata la cooperazione per il confronto sulle “best practices” in tema di gestione delle politiche migratorie e di asilo, a livello nazionale e sopranazionale, attraverso attività di ricerca e confronti in sede convegnistica. Attraverso il coordinamento tra le 10 università è stato possibile ad oggi realizzare 10 workshop su diversi temi di interesse del progetto, diverse pubblicazioni che ne riportano i risultati, ed inoltre una piattaforma e-learning alla quale iscriversi attraverso il sito www.mapsnetwork.eu. Sono stati predisposti 27 corsi online per un totale di circa 270 ore di lezione. I corsi, che spaziano su varie tematiche, sono sia in lingua inglese oltre che in alcune delle lingue delle singole Università partner, per garantire una maggiore partecipazione di studenti.

Final Conference – Migration and Asylum Policies Systems (MAPS), at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, May 19-20, 2022
On 19th and 20th May 2022, the final conference of the Jean Monnet Network MAPS – Migration and Asylum Policies Systems will be held in Naples, at Palazzo Du Mesnil, Rectorate of the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. This is the final event of the project, which will be attended by some of the world’s leading experts in the field. A balance of these years of activities will be made, with a look towards the future. This is precisely why the event is entitled ‘Migration and Asylum Policies Systems: The Way Forward’.
The Network, financed by European funds from the Jean Monnet Action, was established in July 2018 and consists of 10 European universities (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; University of A Coruña; University Jean Moulin Lyon 3; University of Malta; Universität Innsbruck; Queen Mary University London; University Goce Delčev – Štip; University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST); Stiftung Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt Oder). The main objective of this international network has been to cooperate in order to compare ‘best practices’ in the field of migration and asylum policy management, both on a national and supranational level, through research activities and comparisons at conferences. Through the coordination among the 10 universities, it was possible to date to realise 10 workshops on various topics of interest to the project, several publications reporting the results, and also an e-learning platform that can be subscribed to via the website www.mapsnetwork.eu. Twenty-seven online courses totalling around 270 hours of teaching time have been created. The courses, which cover a variety of topics, are in English as well as in some of the languages of the individual partner universities, in order to ensure greater students’ participation.
